Overview
The Technician Power Electronic Systems trade is a Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) trade under DGT/NCVT covering electronics fundamentals, power semiconductor devices, and hands-on workshop practice on power conversion, UPS/inverter, battery charger, and solar PV systems used in domestic and industrial applications.
Eligibility
Passed Class 10 under the National/State Education system with Science and Mathematics, or its equivalent (NIOS/State Open School). Minimum age 14 years.

- Basic safety, workshop practice & trade tools
- Electronics fundamentals: semiconductor devices, diodes & transistors
- Power electronic devices: SCR, MOSFET & IGBT
- Rectifiers, inverters & power converters
- UPS, battery chargers & SMPS systems
- Solar PV systems & charge controllers
- PCB assembly, testing & troubleshooting
- Industrial power supply systems & motor drives
- Employability skills and on-the-job training (OJT)
Job Roles After Completion
Certification
National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by NCVT/DGT on successful completion and passing the All India Trade Test (AITT).
